What is Chios Energy Healing?

  Chios Energy Healing is one of the newest—yet one of the most comprehensive—of the energy healing arts in the world today. Energy healing is based upon the premise that illness or affliction in the body, emotions, mind and spirit has as its ultimate cause defects in the higher energy field surrounding the body. This energy field is composed of the seven chakras and the seven layers of aura. This energy field is the higher "pattern" which mirrors conditions in the body, emotions, mind and spirit of each person—and must be itself healed, for true physical, emotional and psychological/spiritual healing to take place.

  Chios Energy Healing includes a new series of powerful techniques designed to assist the energy healer in healing the defects in the aura and chakras—techniques which have not previously been available and which specifically and powerfully heal the root energetic defects found in the aura and chakras. Chios healing treatments, using these techniques, are therefore useful complementary care for illnesses of body and mind, and are a useful tool to detect and prevent possible future illness. Chios healing treatments may also facilitate spiritual growth, as an adjunct to other personal growth practices, as well as to provide generally enhanced health to body, mind and spirit.

What is the Difference Between Chios and Reiki?

  Chios is not a form of Reiki. They are separate healing arts with separate techniques. There are some important differences between Chios and Reiki:

1. Chios healing is a new healing art, given in its entire and pure form from a spiritual source, through a clear channel, to humanity. Unlike most of the large number of human-created variants of Reiki healing, and many of the other energy healing arts which have appeared in recent years, Chios is not the creation of nor adulterated by human ego, thought or imagination. It is original, powerful, spiritually pure and grounded.
2. Chios healing includes a complete, progressive series of advanced techniques in energy healing—unique to Chios and not available in Reiki, etc.—which powerfully heal the aura and chakra system. The Chios Master-Level Techniques, in particular, are fundamental advances in energy healing not previously available to the healing community.
3. Chios healing also includes an integral meditation method (Chios Meditation), and additional exercises for the development of the psychic abilities useful to the energy healer. Also included are in-depth techniques for complementary care of serious illness. Chios is a fully integrated system of advanced techniques beyond any previously available.
4. Chios healing is supported by comprehensive, standardized instructional literature for the teacher, student and practitioner—materials which preserve the purity of the Chios information and techniques. Are Chios Attunements the Same as Reiki Attunements?

  No, they are not, and the attunements are not interchangeable. Chios is a separate healing art from Reiki, using separate and different attunements. If you wish to practice Chios healing you should receive the Chios attunements. What Does the Word "Chios" Mean, and Why Was It Chosen as the Name of This Healing Art?

  The word "Chios" is from the language of the ancient civilization of Bactria. The closest English translation to this word is "life force," although there is a fuller, richer meaning: Chios is the life-welling in all living things, as they strive upwards towards growth and towards the light and enlightenment. This meaning also includes the struggle of spiritual growth, and of the spiritual process. Steve Barrett (the creator of Chios) had a past life in this civilization, during which he studied and used many of the healing techniques Chios now includes. The word "Chios" was chosen, for its beauty and relevance, as the name of this healing art.

Why is All the Chios Information Put Out for Free, on the Chios Website, When Other Healing Systems Do Not Make Their Techniques So Universally Available?

  Energy healing is a key element of the profound change in consciousness now underway on our world. Chios is a very advanced healing system, given to benefit and aid humanity in this important time of transition. While the Chios system is fully trademarked and copyrighted (to protect the purity of the knowledge, and to prevent theft or misuse), it was the decision of Steve Barrett (the creator of Chios) that this information be made freely available to all, throughout the world. As with academic or scientific knowledge, which is published openly to foster the advancement of human knowledge and society, so is this important knowledge shared openly with all. And so perhaps one should not ask why the Chios knowledge is given so freely, but ask: Why do other healing arts not do the same? Excessive commercialism, profiteering and the hording of knowledge are all contrary to the new paradigm coming from Spirit.

May I Translate the Chios Information (the Course Manuals and Workbooks) Into Other Languages?

  Yes, you may, but only to furnish the information to your healing students, or as a public service for those in your home country who may be interested in learning Chios healing and meditation. You may not publish the copyrighted Chios information (or any excerpt from it) as your own, in book form or in any other commercial form, nor personally profit from it. If you translate Chios information into other languages, you must first ask for written permission (giving information on your intended use). You must also include a copyright notice (acknowledgement), in the text of your translation, indicating Steve Barrett (creator of Chios) as copyright holder. Other than these simple rules, translation of the Chios information is strongly encouraged, so it may be shared with all.

What Are the Requirements to Become a Chios Master Teacher?

  You must receive the full series of 3 Chios attunements from a Certified Chios Master Teacher. You must also complete a study of the Chios instructional materials (which are offered free through this website: see Download Course Manuals, which will involve learning the techniques of all 3 Chios course levels (as detailed in the 3 course manuals) and also completing the 3 study workbooks. Certification as a new Chios Master Teacher requires your teacher's verification (certification) that you have been accurately attuned and have also completed this complete study program. Note that, unlike many energy healing arts, you do not merely receive attunements to get your certificate, but must complete this study program which requires an investment of time and effort.

Why Are There Course Requirements, Certification and the List of Approved Chios Master Teachers?

  Chios healing is taught by approved Certified Chios Master Teachers, who give authentic Chios attunements which preserve the exact techniques taught by the Chios guides. Certified Chios Master Teachers also teach the Chios system using the original, authentic Chios information and healing techniques (as given by the guides). Attunements and teaching is done according to specific guidelines, which protect the purity of the attunements and of the techniques being taught. These guidelines are not motivated by desire to impose authority or bureaucracy, but instead to guarantee the viability and protect the integrity of Chios healing and prevent the kinds of abuses which have seriously damaged other healing arts, such as Reiki.
